EMBER

Ember is a mood-based recipe app made for busy young professionals seeking a bit of relaxation and self-care in their lives. The primary challenge facing this target audience is the decision fatigue and time constraints associated with meal planning. Ember addresses this friction point by focusing on the mood-based search, enabling users to immediately filter recipes based on their current mood. The user experience is clean and efficient, prioritizing immediate access via personalized digital recipe books, demonstrating how a time-consuming chore can be transformed into an intuitive, seamless part of a demanding routine.

USER RESEARCH

For this app, I executed critical user research that defined the direction. The project began with a competitive audit and thorough requirement analysis to inform the strategy, leading to the creation of a definitive user persona and customer journey map. The final phase involved deploying user testing and learning from direct user feedback to ensure the app's design was truly intuitive and aligned with user needs.
